What was that?!” He squeaked. “Uhhhh…” Greg said, unconsciously moving in front of Connor as if to protect him. A comforting hand sitting on his shoulder.
“YOU GUYS HAVE SUPERPOWERS! An..and! You fight bad guys!?” Cameron screamed half in awe half in fear almost like he couldn't choose what to feel. “Yeah?” Amaya said hesitantly.
“Fuck.” whispered the teacher rather loudly. “I owe the principal like $10.” Greg couldn't help it, he burst out laughing

So, when he does wake up, somehow able to function with both the weight of infinite knowledge and the King In Yellow screaming in his head, he's a bit surprised. But no matter. Now he has a new goal: Find Avery.

Here he was, begging for something almost impossible. “Please, I…” He couldn’t even speak anymore, he was too caught up sobbing about this man he’d never met. His head in his hands as he broke down for the first time since what happened.
