Summary
All that to say, dear reader, that there are three things I believe that will ensure that a couple will fall in love;
Physical attraction
Common interests
ChemistryBut there are those particular enough to believe that none of these are necessary for love to occur. That true love - love as idyllic as stories told by many witches and wizards past - can occur without so much as glancing at the other person.
It sounds utterly barbaric, if you ask me. How can someone possibly fall in love if they know next to nothing about the individual? How can someone possibly make that sort of judgement call where they know they love someone so unconditionally that everything else is of no consequence?

Summary
He had plenty of time on his hands. That, coupled with the boredom that came from the isolation left him itching to do something. Weasley’s bumbling nature with his too-big feet and gangly limbs…Potter’s ability to get away with anything, and Granger’s piercing laugh… That was aggravating enough and he wasn’t sure how much more of it he could put up with. Now though…a new idea was forming in his mind, and one he hadn’t given much merit until now.
He did owe the trio one for taking his peace of mind, for ruining his chance of happiness and freedom. He had that particular favour to return to them.
Draco Malfoy did not like owing anyone anything, after all. No true Slytherin ever did.
And as for him?
Well.
He was a Slytherin through and through.

Summary
“Don’t play dumb with me, Draco. Are we going to talk about what I just witnessed?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he gestured for a drink, pushing past the topic of conversation that she clearly wanted to discuss.
“The eye fucking.” The words were loud enough to draw the attention of a busy couple of colleagues nearby who looked a little too curious, particularly given just how busy and crowded the pub was with Pansy’s invited guest list.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he hissed under his breath, trying to get her to shut up.

Summary
Instead of reacting, Theo seemed to be frozen to the spot, and Blaise seemed to wear a similarly slack expression on his face. Draco’s gaze followed their direction, one arm shoving Zabini out of the way so he could push forward.
And there, brown curls clinging to her neck in perspiration and cheeks flushed from the effort of the workout (or perhaps because of who Theo and Blaise were), stood a person that he hadn’t seen in too many years.

Summary
Theodore was silent for a very long moment, considering deeply whether this was something Draco needed to know until he finally seemed to concur. “She was found after You-Know-Who was brought down,” he said, words resigned and regretful. “There were obvious signs of…torture. You know Bellatrix loved experimenting with the Cruciatus curse to see how long it took to break someone’s mind.”
And Granger’s mind had always been one of Granger’s greatest strengths.

Summary
Hermione reached for the proffered key, and Draco folded his arms as she took it from his open palm, the surface of the glove now wet from the snow since the warmth of the chalet was doing a good enough job of melting it all. He watched her turn it over, raising his eyebrows at her, waiting for her flush of embarrassment and profuse apology. His fingers closed into fists, the snow now icy cold water against his skin.
“This says number ten,” she finally said, holding the key out for him to take back.
“It does,” Draco confirmed as though she had suddenly become stupid.
“Number ten, Malfoy. This is number forty. You’re in the wrong chalet.”

Summary
A post-war story in which trauma and regrets are overcome, in which characters grow and develop, and where forgiveness is far easier to gift to others than to gift to oneself.
This is a slow burn enemies-friends-lovers fic.

Summary
An attempt to give her some height, no doubt. A power move to bolster her confidence.
It had the contrary effect on Draco Malfoy, the smirk that already lingered on his lips pulling upwards into an expression that even the Devil might have been proud of. Her intelligence was intimidating enough; the need to overcompensate…well, that much simply benefitted him and his ego, and he wasn’t so Gryffindor as to turn down a gift given to him so willingly.
