Anakin was saved by Sideous, taken away after the sand people attack his family and his mother dies. He is put into the Vadar suit to save his life, or so he thought. In an accident, his mask is broken and without his breathing apparatus, he is sure he's dead. His body heats up and feels like he's burning from the inside out and he's sure he's bleeding somewhere.
But the Obi-Wan Kenobi comes along and makes the pain go away and Anakin realizes he's been living a lie.

This fic was heavily inspired by the youtube video How Star Wars Revenge of the Sith Should Have Ended. That four minute video has lived rent free in my head for nine years, and now it can live in all of yours.
