Palpatine turned around with a stormy expression. “Why must you be so difficult, Skywalker?”
The room was thick with anger. The force vibrated with it. Anakin could feel the Sith prodding at the walls he had built, trying to grab ahold of any emotion, any attachment he could find. Anakin clamped his shields shut, refusing to allow any room for manipulation.
“You are strong, I must say. Still, you will lose.” Palpatine said, shooting a bolt of lightning towards Anakin. The Jedi easily deflected it.
With a loud cry, Anakin threw himself at the Chancellor, swinging his lightsaber in a calculated arc. No matter how accurate, Palpatine managed to dodge every blow.
