A Supernatural and The Walking Dead crossover
Sam and Dean Winchester had a little sister, Eleanor. It wasn’t just Sam who was pulled into the cage with Lucifer and Michael, Ellie was too. The dear old devil clung on to whatever he could to keep himself topside so he grabbed the nearest thing when his designer meat suit pulled him down – Ellie.
Castiel was able to pull a soulless Sam out, but the archangels held on tight to the youngest Winchester. Eventually, after several long years, Team Free Will managed to free her from the cage. However the damage was great, with a fractured mind she was beyond the healing powers of Castiel.
But life went on and the three siblings and guardian angel learned to live with it. But with the chaos of the reanimation and the creation of Walkers they had to keep her safe, even if it meant leaving her behind. The last they saw of their little sister was in a psychiatric hospital as they set off to try and attempt to fix the mess Lucifer had caused with his temper tantrum. The apocalypse.

There was another student here.
Tom recognized him vaguely—while transfer students were not necessarily uncommon due to the war, they were rare enough to at least make an impression. This particular transfer student was in his year, sorted into Ravenclaw after an impressively long hat stall. He looked like he might be descended from the Potter line, but he did not share the surname so his lineage was of no particular interest to Tom. Nothing about him was of particular interest to Tom, in fact, and yet here he stood, holding the book that Tom had come here to find.
It would be a good time to turn away. The Restricted Section was restricted for a reason—only books documenting extremely dangerous or extremely advanced magic were stored here.
Tom’s feet, however, suddenly felt as if they were made of lead. It wasn’t magic keeping him tied down, but something far more mysterious like curiosity or even fate. In any case, the delay was all it took for the Ravenclaw to lift his chin and meet Tom’s eyes.
This Ravenclaw, Tom realized, had eyes as blindingly green as the Killing Curse.

Summary
When Regulus is eleven, he meets Harry Potter, the only recently turned up, distant cousin of James Potter. The first surprise is that, despite being a Potter, he's sorted into Slytherin. The second surprise is that he manages to convince Regulus to prank Sirius for being an ass about his sorting. The third is that he turns out to be an amazing friend.
The surprises don't end there—quite the opposite, really. The biggest might just be that Harry refuses to give up on him, and how it changes everything. His worldview, the relationship to his brother; his whole future.
Scratch that, it's the Master of Death-thing. It's definitely the Master of Death-thing.In the end, though, Regulus finds he's rather fond of surprises.
