Summary
“Hey, uh, Donald?” He said, and the mage held his wrist.
“I know.” He said.
They’d made the wrong choice, at least at the start.
How difficult it must have been, to be a child and lose everything.
A boy grows into a young man through the eyes of his guardians, in the confined little space of their Gummi Ship.

Summary
Maybe it was stupid to think he could outrun time on a pirate ship, sail away from one island and take Riku and run to another and expect that to bring back everything that was lost; haul in the heavy anchors they all dragged in their wake in the course of a day.
But he’s Sora, and he's done more impossible things than this. So he’s going to try.

(The boys finally get to go to the Caribbean together, even if they had to die and come back first--but hey, better late than never? Post-KH III)

Summary
Best friends have sleepovers, that's totally normal; but do "just friends" cuddle in bed? Do they hold hands in the halls at school? When had the line gotten blurred, and did Sora even notice?
Riku doesn't know. And he doesn't know what him and Sora are anymore.

Summary
It’s a victory lap. That’s all it is.
“You and Sora,” Mulan says.
“Sora and I,” Riku replies.
“I looked into it, for I wanted to be respectful of your warrior’s culture,” Mulan continues. “After their journey is over, a Keyblade Master bringing his consort to explore the wor—”
“Excuse me,” Riku interrupts. “What did you say just now?”

Summary
Their gazes met, and it was like an unspoken conversation. Sora's eyes softening with a hesitant is this okay, Riku's trust that ran deeper than the ocean, sure and unfailing, his silent answering yes yes yes. Sora's hesitance turning to a gentle kind of certainty, and Riku realised all over again that he had long since gained the confidence to let himself be this vulnerable with Sora. Surrendering to Sora never felt like losing. It felt like coming home.Bookmarked by Slytemmie
