Summary
Chance crashed Will into the brick wall, he could see him wince in pain.
He had given up on trying to have some semblance of kindness to this asshole who just wouldn’t stop pissing him off. He had him right where he wanted him, but for some reason he didn’t feel anger anymore. He felt something much softer, that was replacing his fuel for hatred with a different emotion.
The furnace of his heart began erupted into flames that flushed his face with tiles red and pink. A chasm opened in his heart, that he didn’t know if he truly wanted. He searched Will’s face for an answer, that perfectly groomed hair that he wanted to ruin, his face that was a bit too perfect and… those hazel eyes, now tinted with forming tears.
All he could think of now was one thing.
Why the hell does he look so pretty.

Will moved back from Lenora, California. He’s sat next to Chance and they soon become sworn enemies.

“Need a light?”
Chance’s entire body jolted as his head whipped around in Will’s direction. A hand clapped to his chest and he let out a noise of something along the lines of relief.
“Jesus man,” Chance breathed out, “Trying to put me in an early grave?”

Summary
Months after the Battle of Starcourt, friendships fracture, coping mechanisms collide, and the Party exists in pieces rather than a whole. While Mike and Dustin plunge into Hellfire, Lucas straddles the worlds of basketball and loyalty, and Max quietly unravels beside Will in therapy, Will retreats inward, haunted by guilt, jealousy, and the looming weight of November 6th. When an unexpected invitation pulls him into Hawkins High’s cheerleading orbit, Will is forced to confront visibility, identity, and the terrifying possibility that he might still belong somewhere. As old wounds ache and new fault lines form, Hawkins holds its breath—waiting to see what, or who, will break next.

Summary
For Chance, it wasn't just a random encounter. He had spent years sitting in pews, surrounded by hymns and stained glass, but seeing the boy sitting by the window at the art store was the first time he truly felt he was in the presence of the sacred. The sight left him with a fluttering heart and a head full of questions.
He doesn't understand these feelings yet. He doesn't know why a stranger’s hazel eyes would make him feel this way. But Chance has never been one to back down from a challenge. He is going to get to know that beautiful boy, because he needs to understand why, for the first time in his life, he feels like he's looking at something holy.

Summary
Looking at castle Byers, he's not too sure what he's looking at for a moment. it reads "Here lies William Jacob Byers, beloved friend, brother, and son. 1971-1983." But he wasn't dead. He was right here. They couldn't have found a body because as poorly as he felt at the moment, he was still alive. Still breathing.
He's going to be sick.

Summary
Hawkins High, 1989. The war is over, and Will Byers is finally supposed to be safe. To the Party, he’s still "Innocent Will," the boy who needs a Paladin’s protection. Mike Wheeler is his anchor—the childhood love Will has pined for his entire life, and the one person who refuses to let him grow up.
But as the graduation robes go on, a secret is brewing that will flip the social script.
Chance Perez is the varsity All-Star every girl wants and every jock follows. He’s the enemy, the Rich Side royalty, and the last person who should be looking Will’s way. But away from the Party's eyes, an impossible friction is building. No one would ever suspect the art kid and the All-Star, but Will is done being fragile.
As Mike’s protectiveness turns into a jealous spiral, he's forced to realize that his need to "save" Will has always been something deeper. But as he finally wakes up to his own feelings, he has to face the ultimate question: is he already too late?
