Still contending with his recent failures in Edonia and Lanshiang, Chris Redfield is deployed to a long-term security assignment in Kijuju, the city that was still rebuilding from the outbreak that nearly destroyed it in 2009. Awaiting him is Sheva Alomar, a dear faraway friend with whom he abruptly ceased contact six months ago. She quickly recognizes that trauma has eroded the man she once knew.
