It's Halloween and you're sick with the flu!
The only way to overcome the disappointment of missing your favorite holiday is for your loving, doting partner to tell you scary stories.[ CH.1 - Zombie!Reader AU - Reader is a zombie, but Sun and Moon don’t have human brains so they’re all good. Sun and Moon live in delusion, believing you are just sick and that everything is okay and they just need to get you something to eat. You are hungry. So hungry. Always hungry. ]

In a sleepy town off the beaten path is the place where two twin animatronics, Sun and Moon, settle to make their dreams reality. They make a good duo, with Sun working on the decorations and cat care and Moon working on the business management and maintenance. They pick up each other’s slack. They work so nicely together…
It’s a shame that, like any siblings, they bicker and fight a lot. They don’t realize how badly they need an extra set of hands until you come along. You were just looking for a furry companion… You had no idea such a simple task would turn not only your life, but their lives as well, upside down.

Waterspark Bay, the only waterpark and resort to be entirely run and maintained by animatronics. Once again the park opens its doors for guests to enjoy a mix of Aztec and Polynesian themed structures and recreation including wave pools, swimming pools, raft rides, waterslides, lazy rivers, and still so much more. While surrounded by the waterparks thrilling robotic staff, visitors are sure to be left with memories that last a lifetime. You thought moving was supposed to be a chance to start fresh, but the past always follows you, even to sleepy little towns in the middle of nowhere.
Your new job at “Cosmic Botanical Gardens” isn’t for the faint of heart. The owners are incompetent and you quickly find you’re the only one who knows anything about botany or plant care.
It wouldn’t be too bad, except one of your employers is as prideful as he is stand-offish. That’s fine by you, though. That is… until his icy exterior cracks unexpectedly, leaving you with feelings you’d rather never experience again.
His solar counterpart is a stark contrast. Always energetic, always giving you an enthusiastic greeting. Despite his quick wit and sass, he makes you feel a type of security you haven’t felt in a long time. A friendship quickly blossoms where you hadn’t expected it to, leading to the formation of dangerous emotions.
But you are far too guarded to fall for anything, let alone anyone. You’ve seen what happens when you open your heart and allow others in. You’re not ready to be vulnerable again and you promise yourself not to allow the butterflies in your stomach to escape.
