Tomioka Giyuu woke up inside a cold cave, he could feel hunger and a sweet smelling iron… blood. To his side, there is a delicious looking meat as hunger took over. But before he could take a bite, there were many voices inside his head telling him not to eat. He saw visions of a demon girl able to turn away from the bloodied arm of white haired person, an older sister’s back that got eaten by a demon, and a heavy feeling in his chest for a scarred peach boy.
Or, a story of Giyuu turned into a demon after Nezuko’s trial in the Ubuyashiki's Mansion.

Giyuu barely gets the word out before Sanemi yanks him sideways, dragging him through the nearest door. The moment it clicks shut behind them, Sanemi is shoving Giyuu up against the wall, hands fisting in the fabric of his uniform, mouth crashing against his.
Giyuu stiffens, a surprised noise catching in his throat, but it lasts only a second. Then he’s melting into Sanemi’s touch, his hands reaching out to clutch at the front of Sanemi’s haori as he kisses him back just as fiercely.
Then the closet door swings open.

Nezuko passed final selection and a member of the kakushi delivered her uniform. It's a good thing she has two people she trusts there to tell her that's not how it's supposed to look, though she's not quite convinced Giyu didn't kill the kakushi and dump his body somewhere to bury later.
(an AU where Tanjiro is the sibling turned into a demon from the start and Nezuko becomes a demon slayer. My take on how Nezuko is just one of many female demon slayers who Masao Maeda makes an outfit for)

Genya seemed like him. His anger was fear, a shield he used. It wasn't his core like his brother and the other hashira who had tried to help him.
Maybe, just maybe, that would be enough for Giyuu to make a difference where they hadn't.
