Summary
Abruptly, Andy realised Miranda’s eyes were not closed anymore. She was right in view of the door, where it was cracked open. Where Andy was staring.
Shit.
Miranda’s eyes widened impossibly as she stared in horror.
Andy squeaked and pushed the door shut, luckily it made little to no noise.
She pivoted the other way and began walking as fast as possible, almost running.
Andy’s life was over. This was it.

Humans invented weather forecasting to determine whether it was appropriate to wear a coat or to bring an umbrella, or simply, if they were going to have a good day.
At Runway, the only forecast that mattered was the proximity of their features editor, Andrea Sachs’ seat to Miranda Priestly during meetings.

Summary
Andrea did turn out to be a hard working- although startling naive and horribly chipper. She talked constantly, asking questions and interjecting her own thoughts until Miranda finally snapped, “Shop girls are supposed to be seen and not heard.”
Cheeks pinking, Andrea bit her lip and said, “Yes Mistress Priestly.”
“Just call me Miranda.”
“Yes Miranda,” Andrea said, and that little smile was back. No longer looking like a drown cat, she was quite fetching, even Miranda had to admit it.
