Summary
He’s being overly sensitive, he knows, now that they’re inside of Stan’s domain. Clothes draped five layers deep across the back of his desk chair, notebooks half-spilled from his backpack—somewhere that’s familiar, where Kyle is now expected to be laid bare. It’s what he wants, what he’s hungered for since before he knew what this desire was, but he needs Stan to look at him. See him and no one else. Kyle craves the Stan that told him he loved him seven years ago, the Stan that told him he needed him, because that’s all Kyle wants. To be needed, not by just anyone, but by Stan.

Summary
Hallótta Haddock had something of an odd reputation, so to speak. Being the daughter of the Chief, she is considered higher born and that status comes with respect by default. But she’s no fool: she knows she's an outcast in the eyes of Berk. As their Chief’s only child, she is his heir – in theory. Having been born early, sickly and female, there have been whispers of doing away with tradition and passing over the title to her bigger, stronger, very male cousin Snotlout whenever her father passes – despite the boy having both the temperament and brain of a goat. It certainly didn’t help that the years of increasing duty and Hallótta’s less-than-stellar attempts of making herself useful have strained her and her father’s once close relationship.
And if all that wasn’t enough – there was also that dragon problem they couldn’t seem to shake…
