Jack didn’t even bother looking back.“I just…” He paused, searching for words that didn’t sound nearly as sentimental as the thought itself. “I don’t want the person who gave me something to look forward to suddenly become someone I used to know.”
That realization seemed to hit Jack the moment he heard himself say it. He immediately looked away.“###,” he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck. “That sounded sentimental again.”

“Alright, listen here, scarf boy.” Commando stood, cracking his neck like he was prepping for battle. “You think you’re so clever? How ‘bout this—we both take a swig.”
Rubx raised an eyebrow. “What, like… a Bloxiade-off?”
“Drinking duel.” Commando held the bottle up like it was an ancient artifact. “Wanna put your mouth where your sass is, hotshot?” Commando challenged, already shaking a bottle in Rubx’s direction. “Bloxiade roulette. First one to pass out or puke loses.”
Rubx’s eyes narrowed behind his tinted glasses, the glint of uncertainty sparking within the black lenses. “You’re on.”

After a Round, Rubx gets curious(maybe annoyed) of Commando’s gambling with drinking that damn Bloxiad. This causes Commando to challenge him to take shots with his Bloxiad.
