Jess looks to the ceiling for a moment for strength, or maybe an escape hatch, before sighing. She pulls the guest chair around to Lena’s side of the desk in a way that screams of a TV parent about to teach a life lesson. “It’s called fanfiction, Ms. Luthor.” She sits, laying a hand on Lena’s, “And there is a LOT of it.”

Basically the main tenant of Kara’s plan is making sure not to stare at Lena ALL of the time. Not focusing on the plump of Lena’s lips as they stretch over a smile. Not getting shipwrecked in the storm-laden-Sea color of Lena’s eyes. Not letting her gaze track over each hill and valley of Lena’s soft, supple, body.
It feels impossible, but it isn’t. She's managing fairly well, all things considered.

Summary

Pre-reveal Rumi, hiding both her patterns and her wants, loves her girls in whatever way she can until she's free (whether that means shielding Mira and Zoey in fights or pretending to be something she's not). She just has to hold out until the Honmoon’s golden. Straightforward enough, right?
