    “I will find you,” Obi-Wan vows, feeling the promise etching into the deepest parts of his soul, squeezing that hand tight enough to have felt their bones grind if either of them were truly flesh in this moment, rather than projections of themselves inside the Force. “I swear it, Anakin, I will find you.     Anakin finally lifts his head. His eyes are dull and resigned. He doesn’t believe him.

    Nearly five years into his self-imposed mission (exile) on Tatooine after the rise of the Empire, Obi-Wan Kenobi experiences his first Force Vision in decades. He learns that the boy he trained and raised and loved did not betray him and his people. He learns that the creature he dueled on Mustafar was not his former padawan, but some sort of Sith trickery. He learns that on that fateful day, he killed neither his son nor the monster wearing his face.

    He learns that the real Anakin is trapped somewhere, alone and afraid, and has given up hope of being rescued.
