Summary
After the events as Fang Xin Guoshi leading to his execution by Lang Qianqiu, instead of being buried alive in a coffin for 100 years with a stake through his heart, Lang Qianqiu opts to cut and scatter Xie Lian’s body far away to get rid of him for good.

Summary
A soft giggle floated on the crisp breeze and Xie Lian glanced up from sorting, expecting to see some local children playing in the forest, but it was otherwise quiet. No rushed footfalls or rambunctious shouts, but perhaps they played the hiding game. His attention returned to his task, turning over various recipes in his head and deciding upon improvements with the addition of his overripe berries.
Another quiet laugh, then a soft rustle, and Xie Lian’s hands stilled. Rather than raise his head he listened closely instead, centuries of experience told him this laughter was not as childish as initially thought.
“Handsome gege…” a voice tittered and the woodsy scent of bamboo was suddenly overwhelmed by a thick, cloying fragrance. Xie Lian wrinkled his nose before he was seized with the urge to sneeze.
God he may be, but when one lived nearly a millennium it wasn’t possible to cling to every incident with perfect clarity. Much of his past was best forgotten, but that scent quickly, viciously dragged one particularly horrid memory to the surface.

Summary
Xie Lian had always tried to ignore his secondary sex despite the praises he gained just for presenting as an Alpha. From when he first began his cultivation, to the events after his third ascension, he stayed true to his masquerade as a Beta.
It was only during one of Shi Qingxuan’s visits during Hua Cheng’s absence that he learned of a Taboo. There was a way to become an Omega. It would be challenging… but to Xie Lian, it would be worth everything. Upon Hua Cheng’s return, Xie Lian soon expressed this wish. It was to no one’s surprise that the Ghost King agreed, both too full of anticipation to wait longer than the next night.

Summary
After thousands of years of peaceful marriage and shared lives between Ghost and God, Hua Cheng and Xie Lian have lived into the modern age. The eternal peace they have cultivated will be cut short however, as the sudden unexplained dispersion of many ancient ghosts leads to Hua Cheng himself, facing dispersion. As a last resort, Xie Lian allows Hua Cheng to share his body and bind their souls to prevent his demise.
