Summary
Everyone acts like soulmates are a sure fire thing. Like no matter what, you would end up happy with them.
It’s not true, love is never easy and automatic despite what media says. Katsuki just wishes he had known this before. Wishes that someone had set his arrogant middle school ass into his place and told him to stop chasing Deku away. Stop hurting that sweet, kind boy that put up with all his bullshit and loved him unconditionally.
It was too late now, but even as he watched his soulmate in the loving arms of another, he found that he had no one to blame but himself. And maybe it was time he let him go, that was the saying after all, if you love something let it go and if it returns, it’s yours.
Izuku would never be Katsuki’s but at least he was finally happy.

Midoriya Izuku knows he isn't a lucky person. His dad is an abusive asshole, he's quirkless, and now he has the unfortunate pleasure of being Bakugou Katsuki's soulmate. Guilty pleasure may be more accurate. Not that he is ever going to tell Katsuki, and Katsuki will never find out on his own.
In a world where soulmates exist, every person gains their soul mark at age 13. Soul marks appear anywhere on the body and can be either the first words you hear from your soulmate and/or the last words after the age of 13. Izuku unfortunately has both. And the first words Katsuki Bakugou has the nerve to say as Izuku turns 13 are ones he wishes he never said. Izuku's skin will forever be marred by, "If you really want to be a hero, take a swan-dive off the roof of the building, and maybe you'll get a quirk in your next life."

Summary
Set years after graduating, Pro-heroes Izuku and Katsuki are living together in unexpected peace. After a traumatic incident while on a call out, Katsuki seeks comfort from Izuku. Since Izuku has unspoken feelings for Katsuki it becomes harder to live with his (assumed) unrequited feelings and, on the suggestion of best friend Todoroki, Izuku seeks help from Sero to try his hand in the dating game.
Fluff, angst, and a happy ending with some eventual smut. We'll see how patient I end up being with this. The story I have planned spans about a week. Enjoy!
Edit: We have gotten to a point in the story where there is some closure, so don't worry about this only being angst, baby boys get to be together after CH 23 :)
I will upload as I go, so if this gets any support I'll keep going.
