After surviving falling to earth from the ARK, Shadow tries his best to survive in the strange new city he lands in. When he gets found by a weird old man willing to hide him, Shadow tentatively agrees. Anything was better than being back in GUN custody, right?

Higher and higher, past the Torii Gates, through the forest and higher and higher up the mountain.
Step… step…
Senku reaches the top, greeted by a red Torii Gate above him, the familiar sight of the shrine greeted him, but Senku hardly sees it, as the view that always greets him comes in the form of a pair of eyes.
Even in the morning light, his eyes were the reflection of the night sky. Senku couldn't help his gaze lingering on those blue twinkling irises. Senku could count the seconds but it always feels like time stops when he sees those blues.
Senku moved his gaze to the smile, soft, small but warm all the same, blooming on the boy's face 1.2 seconds after spotting him.
The world began to open up again, no longer hyperfocused on those little details on his face.And just like always, he greets him first…
“Welcome back, Senku-chan~”
