Summary
"All right, then," he says. "What is it?"
Kitty stares at him. She usually isn't the best at staying quiet, but this is one of the only times in her life that she's had trouble finding words. It feels like there's a million thoughts running through her brain, ideas on what to say first that never slow down enough for her to get a grip on them—and it doesn't help that Min Ho is looking at her like that, his gaze as steady and open as it always is these days. For just a moment she almost (only almost) wishes that he'd go back to the way he used to be, constantly scoffing and looking away.
Then he opens his mouth, no doubt to ask why the hell she's floundering in the middle of his room like a fish out of water, and because Kitty is stupid, she blurts out, "So. Uh. You know Stella?”
_
On the last night of their trip, Kitty finally talks to Min Ho.

Summary
She swears that it’s not because of the way Minho had smirked at her teasingly while they were cooking, or because of the glances they’d shared in the middle of the process when neither of them thought the other was looking.
When the two of them end up in kitchen few days later with an unreasonably large bowl of cookie dough in between them, Kitty swears that it’s definitely not because of the way Minho’s arms look in that apron. Of course not.
After Chuseok, things start to shift. Kitty doesn't mind the change as much as she should.
(Somehow, baking together becomes a "Minho and Kitty" thing.)

Summary
Mike's breath hitched again, not out of fear but something else— something he was too afraid to name, something he had suspected for a long time and buried deep.
Across the MAC-Z, Will wiped at the blood under his nose.
He’s beautiful, Mike thought fleetingly— unable to control it, and secretly not wanting to either.
Then Will fell to his knees, and time snapped right back into place like a broken rubber band.

Summary
“That’s because she loves you.” Mike tells him “And she thinks you have a very lickable face.” he adds, teasingly.
“Does she?” Will asks, eyebrows raised “Or do you?” he teases, in a moment of bravery.
“You do know what they say…” Mike shrugs, before locking his eyes with Will's hazel ones “Like father, like daughter.” he tells him, boldly.
Will's face goes bright pink at the statement.
God, how is he surviving this at all?OR
Mike and Will rescue a little kitten from the rain. It leads to a lot of wondering, hoping, bickering and falling in love.

Summary
Alexander Payne had few personal items with him in the trenches. A wooden carved cross his father had gifted him years ago, on the day he first left for St. Hilarion's. Flowers he pressed carefully between pieces of paper, waiting for them to dry so he could send them home to Anna, his bride-to-be. A few assorted letters from friends. A picture of him and his parents, as stiff and lifeless as they always seemed to be. Most precious to him, however, was the singular photograph of his younger brother Edwin and the treasured few letters the younger boy had sent. These were stored more carefully, at the top of the tin where they were less likely to be crushed.
or
Alexander Payne died during World War 1, in November 1915. He has spent the last 110 years confined to the battlefield where he died and the small town nearby, oblivious to the fact that his younger brother Edwin died merely a year after he had. When Alexander learns about the Dead Boy Detective Agency, he simply hopes he can find a way to break whatever tie is keeping him here, and instead comes face to face with Edwin for the first time in over a century
