"Let's eat. Let's survive," Jimmy whispered with an aura that reminded Curly of his greatest sin: his pride. Jimmy was too proud to accept his wrongdoings. He was too proud to apologize to those he had hurt. He was too proud to care about what anyone had to say. He was too proud to take responsibility. But now, it didn't matter anymore. It was just him, some corpses, and an incapacitated Curly that could only weep and shake. Nobody would call Jimmy out anymore. It was just him and his pride surrounded by his victims.
