Sitting on that couch was, of course, the Radio demon himself. Sipping tea, having been watching Vox intently this entire time. It wasn't often that Vox was afraid, but he was right now. The many threats of how much Vox would regret doing what he did to Alastor, of how Alastor would make him suffer, that Vox had all but ignored while he had his nemesis captive were all coming back to him. He really thought he was going to keep Alastor forever, didn't he? He was such an idiot. Such an absolute moron. And now he was going to pay, and he knew it.

Summary
Damian stares deeply into the dark tank. It spans almost an entire wall in the room. The saltwater bubbles slowly, swallowing the bright lights of the room, throwing eerie shapes that glimmer and dance deeper into the tank. Nothing illuminates to the furthest depths of it, for the dark water devours even the most enduring rays.
But if he squints, he thinks he can see the huddling, dark shape curled up at the bottom.
“It’s useless to hide from me,” he speaks to the creature inside, and steps up to the glass to lay a proprietary hand on it. “Show yourself,” he demands.
