The man points towards someone to the side and golden brown eyes follow the line. Met with divine grace, the vampire feels his knees buckle. A warlock, a boy with magic painted on his skin. “He is the one killing all of them, stepping in here and ripping them to shreds, I have noth-” the gurgling sound of the man’s throat being squashed echos through the church hall. The vampire tilts his head. “How dare you lie to me. I am the one who gave you your life and you lie to me?” He snarls but before the man can say anything the vampire breaks his hand through his torso and rips out his heart, causing the man to go limp and lifeless immediately.

Summary
As he turned his hands over and pulled at the corners of his mouth, he saw the features he had glued and painted into place actualized. Gone were the press-on claws and the hairs he'd drawn on to adorn his knuckles and extend his natural sideburns, instead replaced with the real thing. His irises were still yellow, but a more muted shade than the artificial pop of costume shop contacts. His teeth were sharp, he noted, poking his index finger against a canine that no longer harbored the harsh line where plastic met enamel.
“Move over.” Minho pushed Jisung aside, eager to examine himself.
His eyes, like Jisung's, had absorbed the hue of his crimson contacts; His eyelids were a bit sunken and cheeks a bit gaunt in the way his makeup had meant to mimic. In fact, to an outside observer it might have looked like the two of them had simply committed to the holiday.
But they knew otherwise.

Now 2,000 years later, it's become a tradition that once a year, a new young lady would be picked and wait for her future husband to retrieve her from a shrine in the mountains. And now the lucky tradition would fall upon Y/n L/n. It would be her own turn to take on the tradition and not have to worry about demons. After all that part of the old tradition was just fake, made up by paranoid ancestors. Everyone knew demons didn't exist.
