“It’s just,” Erling sighed and ran a hand over his face, not knowing how to word it nicely. Fuck it, might as well bite the bullet and get it over with now, if they were already having this conversation. “You’re seventeen, I’m twenty, it’s–”
“The age of consent in Germany, England, and Norway is sixteen.”
He didn’t want to think about why Jude knew what the age of consent in Norway was.
“No–I know it’s legal. It’s just that I’m three years older than you and–”
“Wow, three years, big deal,” Jude scoffed.
“No–stop, Jude, stop interrupting me and let me speak.”
Jude stopped talking, but still had that scorned-puppy look on his face that made Erling’s chest hurt. He hadn’t wanted this conversation to go down like this; hell, he would have never wanted to have this conversation at all, but everyone had to do hard things in life. This just happened to be one of the hardest, but that was saying a lot, considering that he was a professional athlete.

Summary
Ash, by nature, was a solitary creature. He had no true allegiance to anyone but himself, preferred to spend his time quietly hacking through the laws of Minecraft, and was never one for semantics.
But humans, by nature, are social creatures.
And a permanent part of Ash would forever be human whether he liked it or not. So for while he lived in solitary, feeding the non-human part of him, the mortal portion of him had been slowly dying on the inside, crying out to be treated as a person.
Maybe it was time to wretch the mortal part of his soul out of his heart and hand it to Reddoons, so that the two of them could slowly start to repair the part of himself that he had unknowingly broken. Maybe it was time for him to truly let someone else into his heart, for the sake of both him and the one he let in.
Maybe it was time for him to find a homestead.

Compared to all the times where Hanbin had admired the blue hour light, whether it be from the hill in his backyard as a young boy, or from his dorm room on the eleventh floor of his trainee company building, or even while looking out a window of the ZeroBaseOne dorms after a long day of work, this particular view was definitely his favorite. These occasions where he got to watch his lover in all of his nude glory pressed into their hotel bedsheets against the golden hour light, with sunrays falling over him like he had bent and manipulated the light itself to shine that way against his body, was Hanbin’s all-time favorite sight of the golden sun, haloing over his soulmate’s skin and lighting it in beautiful sunset hues of pink and orange.
Zhang Hao was heaven on earth, and there was absolutely nothing else Hanbin liked to do better than to drown in his euphoria.
