Dream has promised it to himself before, multiple times, that he - Daydream Essempi, will never kill anybody again. He was happy with his life, and is enjoying living in the Kingdom of Kinoko with his sister.
Of course, that promise breaks when he's assigned to kill...the unkillable.
King Technoblade from the Antarctic Empire has waged war upon Kinoko, and Dream will not let anybody ruin the peace he has been grasping onto for years.
But maybe Techno isn't that bad...

Summary
Dream had grown up in an empty house. Being an only child and having a mother that liked her job more than making sure you were okay tended to do that to you.
And it was...It was fine. He'd figured out how to deal with it by now and he'd long since figured out how to make sure people didn't suspect anything.
At least, he had figured out how to do that part when thinking normally. Doing it while sick out of his mind and running off a craving for some kind of affection was an entirely different story.
