He certainly doesn’t want to walk away from him now, not after what just passed between them— not after the way Silver held him, and he suddenly felt safe, and happy, and loved. He can hardly bear the thought of being separated from him after that, even for just a few hours.
On a desperate impulse, he jerks his chin towards the below decks, beckoning.

“What – what is this, some sort of bon-” he gasped when Rick yanked the leather a little snugger, “-bondage planet?” Morty’s voice cracked on the question and Rick’s hands slid over his shoulders to tighten the straps that met the belt across his chest in a V.
“Oh, somebody’s seen some videos on the internet, huh Morty?” Rick’s teased, the bands tautening gradually. Morty felt irrationally like he was a mouse caught in the coils of a boa constrictor. “But to answer your question… kind of.”
(Or the one where Rick shows his practiced hand in the art of control and Morty learns it's not just the leather keeping him tied to Rick.)

“Not even a little bit. It’s not working.”
“What’s not working? Rick?” Morty was starting to get worried.
Rick rubbed his forehead and laughed madly. “The conditioning. I mean, I’m here, aren’t I?” Morty didn’t understand at all. Rick took his hand and cupped it to his cheek, closing his eyes and sighing through his nose. “Worth it.”
“Wh-wh…” Morty was so shocked that he couldn’t even come up with any words. All he could do was breathe through his nose, rapid puffs in and out as he tried to rationalize what was happening to him. It couldn’t be what it looked like. It couldn’t be his grandfather cuddling up to him like a lover. He had to be misreading things. Wishful thinking. Self-fulfilling fantasy.
