Summary
It smelled like a storm was brewing. Shouto was trying so hard to focus on his work, but the essay in front of him was completely uninteresting, and the ozone drifting into his dorm room on the humid breeze was distracting.
Shouto had fallen a little bit in love with storms. He enjoyed them before, when they reminded him of the power going out, and his mother and siblings all gathering in one room around an assortment of flashlights and candles to watch the rain pummel the greenery of the garden. They would wait for lightning and then count the seconds between the flash and the roll of thunder, and try to guess how many kilometers away the lightning was.
More recently, though, he had found a very different reason for the anticipation thrumming through his veins at the first hint of dark clouds, the first fat droplets of rain.
The reason pulled himself up and over the ledge of Shouto’s balcony, his clothes soaked through already and green lightning crackling around his body. He was always a vision.
(Or: Shouto met a vigilante once upon a time. This is what comes after. "Uiscefhuaraithe", the feel of coldness only water brings.)

They don’t like stealing from other killjoys, but they would never call these people killjoys. They were just desert rats in leather and hair dye, and they brought this upon themselves when they fucked with Party’s crew. If they’re dumb enough to leave their place unguarded, Party thinks, then they deserve to get their shit stolen. Simple as that.

Summary
There were a few things that Midoriya Izuku was sure of. He often found confidence difficult, but he had to accommodate logic into his worldview, and some things simply could not be denied.
The grass was green, the sky was blue. The League of Villains was no more. He had friends who loved him, and would not let him think anything else. He was quirkless. He was, despite the doubt that he sometimes felt, a hero. Endeavor sucked, but his experience as a hero couldn’t be ignored. Bakugou Katsuki admired him, and was working hard to be his friend again.
Todoroki Shouto was in love with him.

Summary
The world feels like boiling water. Like the fake water on the road in front of them, hazy, tar-sticky. So hot it’s fucking unreal.
It’s been hot for weeks, July heat swelling like a cloud of flies over roadkill, but today it’s stupid hot. It came with the rising of the day, or maybe they’d driven into it, tour bus pointed directly down south, south, south. All Gerard knows is the rolling road beneath him, the clunky hum of stale air from the AC unit that doesn’t quite reach where he’s collapsed inside his bunk, and the vague awareness of other bodies scattered around the bus, raising the ambient temperature and making every surface stick.
Fuckin’ gross.

Twisting his head, Frank bites down on the shell of Gerard’s ear to hear him squeal. His shoulders hunch up and his fingers dig into the skin of Frank’s arm. Before Gerard can cuss him out, Frank drags his tongue right over the mark, huffing out a laugh of his own. “You’re so crazy for dying, sometimes, like you’re fucking sick with the need for it. But it has to be big, right, Gee? Has to be all, like, important and shit, world-changing. So that it means something. You think you’ll mean something if this town dies tonight when the rest of the world doesn’t? That’s crazy talk, dude. Crazy fucking talk. I’ll show you important, Gee. I’ll show you.”
