Summary
Mira’s first thought was to scream because looking down she found her Gok-do impaled through flesh. Blood pooled around the shimmering weapon and looking up Mira found a face she knew so well. Suddenly, Mira becomes aware that this moment will forever live in her nightmares. She met terrified golden eyes and then, in a puff of red smoke, Rumi was gone and Mira was left standing in an alley staring at her soulmate's blood coating her Gok-do.
Or: What if Celine’s training to kill everything with patterns actually worked? What if Mira acted without thinking when she saw Rumi behind the stage?

Summary
“She already has a drink,” a voice cut in, calm but edged with steel. A solo cup was pressed into Rumi’s hands, cool against her clammy fingers, and an arm draped around her shoulders like it had always belonged there. “Sorry I took so long, babe.”
Rumi froze. Her heart tripped, scrambling to catch up. The girl in front of her wasn’t anyone she knew. Pink hair fell into her eyes, leather jacket creaking as she settled herself between Rumi and Jinu. Her gaze locked onto him like a homing beacon. Her scent—sharp citrus and a hint of something grounding, clove maybe?—rolled out, cutting the tension like a blade. It was unmistakably an Alpha scent.
A stronger scent.
OR: Mira pretends to be Rumi's mate to get her out of a sticky situation.

Summary
At the end of dinner, they go to part at the door, and Peter gives Pepper and May a chance to have a private conversation to themselves by heading to the kitchen and starting up the washing and drying of the dishes that he and May normally do together on the rare night that they don’t eat directly out of take-out boxes.
Leaning against the doorjamb for just a moment, Pepper says, “Y’know, he reminds me of Tony a lot—though only the good bits, don’t worry. You have a really great kid on your hands, dear.”
Pepper leaves with a kiss at the door, the sort of kiss that tastes just a bit of new beginnings as it does of endings, of nebulae as much as supernovas, and May heads back to the kitchen, where she finds Peter helping wash the dishes.
May doesn't want to admit how her heart is in her mouth as she says, “So, what do you think, sweetheart?”
There is a reassurance on the tip of May’s tongue: I’m not trying to replace Ben. She’s never going to replace him, not really. But she makes me happy, and so do you, and—
“I like her,” Peter says, “She makes you laugh.”
And something aches in May’s chest as she leans in and kisses his forehead, hiding the burning in her eyes.

Apparently choosing to not comment on it for the time being the taller alpha leaned down clearly intending to greet Rumi first and foremost and Rumi sat up a bit straighter letting her phone drop into her lap as she tipped her head to offer her neck-
The rumbling snarl had all three of them freezing in place.
”Uh?” Zoey said very slowly, pulling her hands away from the tiger’s head. He had moved it just out of her reach to press his muzzle closer to Rumi and was staring up at Mira with decidedly less stupidity than he normally did. Worse than all of that his teeth were far bigger than they usually were and they were also decidedly fully bared. “Derpy?”

Every newspaper in Gotham had it as their headline, or something similar. The city was oddly quiet after the loss of one of it's rogues, as if it was in a state of shock. Many of them had seen it happen themselves, all of them had heard it. There was a haunting echo of the laugh that followed the death dealing gun shot on live TV. There was no denying The Harley Quinn was dead, but her last words had thrown the Bats for a loop. "Protect her!" But who exactly was her?
