Summary
Sirius's eyes well with tears and he blinks rapidly, flinching every time his closed eyes cast him into darkness. He grabs for his phone sitting near him and winces at the bright light.
Remus: it feels so good to be back in my own bed
Without thinking, he clicks the call icon.
“Sirius?” Remus’s voice sounds through the phone, confusion heavy. Sirius gasps in response, unable to verbalise any words. “Hey, are you okay?”
“No,” Sirius sobs.Sirius struggles to hold onto his sanity now that’s he’s safe and at home with the Potter’s after so much happened to him.
This work is apart of a series and honestly this won’t make much sense without the first works, but I guess you could read it alone if you really want to.

Summary
Remus can hear Sirius shuffling around in the dark for several moments before he hears the familiar drag of the IV pole across linoleum tiles and Sirius quickly scrambles onto the bed.
“Hi,” Remus whispers again.
“Hi,” Sirius whispers. In a moment, Sirius is leaning close to Remus.
“What’re these from?” Sirius whispers, he runs his fingers gently across the scars running across Remus’s face. The silver scars glow in the dim lighting. The skin on Sirius’s fingers is smooth and soft, catching on the rough knots of scar tissue bunching across Remus’s face.
“Turns out I’m allergic to oxygen cannulas sometimes,” Remus says. His voice catches in his throat with Sirius so close to him. He can even feel Sirius’s soft breath on his face.
“Sometimes?”
“Only sometimes. My body works in mysterious ways.”
“Is that why you’re here?”
“Something like that.”Or the story of a chronically ill Remus meeting Sirius while in the hospital for what seems like a regular visit. Sirius isn’t quite as used to the hospital, this visit being his first. How is either boy supposed to cope with massive life changes when they’re each across from the most beautiful person they’ve ever seen?

Sixth year has just started and Remus is barely keeping up. He's just sixteen but it feels like his body is falling apart. He feels like he's being held together with spell-o-tape that's starting to come unstuck. Worse it feels like his friends are running miles ahead of him. When his health takes an abrupt turn for the worse Remus wonders if his friends will stick by him. He need not have worried.- Language:
