“Braids?”
Davos’ lip curled merrily as he hooked a tendril of Aeron’s hair from his crown. He wound it lazily around one finger, and Aeron tried to ignore how the others brushed infinitesimally quickly against his cheekbone. He was almost nose to nose with the Blackwood boy, and although the rational part of his mind was screaming that he should be putting his dagger to use, his muscles seemed to have lost their connection to his brain. Just as he was beginning to process what was happening, Davos let go (although not before giving the strand a small, but painful, tug) and patted Aeron, almost companionably, on the cheek.
Slow-ish burn (I don’t know where I’m going to take this, but those three minutes of screen time are to blame)
