Summary
“Will you please hurry up?” Henry snapped. “I can’t spend all day with check in.”
He didn’t like to snap at his employees, but there was a whole reason why he had scheduled this vacation. The resort had come highly recommended by the other bigwig businessmen that ran in Henry’s social circles. They all swore up and down that the massages were top tier, the staff welcoming and professional, and that the lax schedules were the best way to break from the fast paced stress that their CEO jobs demanded of them.
Henry had been eager to see what all the hype was about.
The third financial quarter was ending soon and he certainly needed the break.
The seaside views would provide relaxing white noise of crashing waves to lull him to sleep each night, and every morning, a fully serviced breakfast spread would be provided for all guests.
From there, Henry could choose to entertain himself with the massages, steam rooms, relaxing pools, and endless indulgences designed to ease the stress from his muscles and allow him to finally relax.
If only check-in would go quicker.
Henry wanted to roll his eyes.
“Holy shit, and he really can’t tell a thing.”

Summary
November 1983. Between unpaid bills, the supposedly straight jock he’s seeing, and letters from his convict dad, seventeen year old Eddie Munson’s got enough to worry about. But when Will Byers goes missing, it sparks a chain of events that will show there are more depths to Hawkins — and to certain people in it, like infamous Steve ‘The Hair’ Harrington — than he realizes.
/ or, the excessively long slow-burn in which Eddie is involved in the Upside Down from the very beginning.

At this point, Eddie’s life had really just sort of become an Aristotelian confluence of events.

Summary
In which Eddie is stuck in suburbia with a Steve who mows the garden shirtless and insists on wearing short shorts.
Steve has little red marks on the backs of his heels from old blisters, or something, and above that on the soft flesh of his hairy shin a little black mole. It’s frightening, to know these things about Steve, Eddie doesn’t know what to do with it. He feels like he should tell someone, the gossip rag down at Hawkins High (who are still inexplicably — or perhaps justifiably — interested in Steve Harrington). Steve’s curled up in a chair now, reading glasses on his nose and little frown on his face, reading their bills or taxes or something (Eddie and Robin have been banned by him from getting involved in all of that), heels and moles on display for the whole world to see.
People shouldn’t be allowed to see Steve like this. Someone needs to tell the press. It’s a national concern. His hair is being all… Eddie slams his mug down on the counter and scurries out, slamming the door after himself. Awful.

Summary
"Are you going for the course?" Lovegood asked. "You have the NEWTs.”
“What course?” Draco said, then, “No, don’t be ridiculous,” when he realized she meant the notice pinned up on the board he’d been staring at: Applicants To The Introductory Mediwizard Course For The Coming Term Shall Present Themselves In The Chief Mediwizard’s Office By August 24th.
“Oh, I thought you might,” she said. “Well, goodbye.” And off she wandered again in her addled way.
