Edit, 2025: I wrote that description in 2018 when I first started this and am only now realising it may be just slightly too vague a description. Hindsight, 20/20, so on so forth.
One day, while tucked in a hospital bed after an incident of her own creation (though she will deny it up and down), Steve Rogers allows Nora Joseph to write a letter to his best friend, out on the front lines while painkillers are filling her system. What follows is an exchange of letters that changes the course of Nora & Bucky's lives for good. or bad. who knows? Certainly not them.

There’s a seat two rows in, first from the left, by the windows. Pros: windows. Cons: In front of the cheerleaders. If it had just been Chrissy Cunningham, it wouldn't be a problem. Saint Chrissy Cunningham is genuinely nice to everyone. Even him. Always has been. Unfortunately, it is not just sweet Chrissy sitting in that cluster of desks. 1. He doesn’t know the blonde’s name.
2. He doesn’t know why he let the blonde jump in the car with him and come to the vet with him.
3. He definitely doesn’t recall letting the blonde into his apartment.
But we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves.
---The only reason Shinsou Hitoshi's cat is alive is because the blonde moron who broke into his apartment was dumb enough to alert him that Mitzi had eaten something she shouldn't have.
The blonde moron also likes to walk through walls and make Shinsou look like he's talking to himself.
Because the blonde moron is, in fact, dead, and haunting his apartment as a ghost because Shinsou is the only one who can see him.

You try not to let the amusement show on your face – he seems genuinely upset, and it would be mean to laugh when he looks like a sad kitten caught in the rain. “I came over last night, Tetsurou, and you came over mine the night before that.”
“I know that, I just like being around you.” He shoves more food into his mouth almost desparingly, and you take a long drink from your water so as not to burst out giggling.
