Years after Gardenview closed down, no one knew what she had planned. Not even Dandy, who ended up being blamed for her own mistakes.
So he was stuck cleaning up her mess.

All the toons knew the Twisteds were clones created by the ichor.
Well- at least its what they think.
When they start getting tired of the daily respawning things start to go wrong.
When the first toon twists accidentally during a run instead of respawning, memories of the toons watching it happen disappear.
When the first toon that willingly twists goes down solo, no one is there to see it.
Whether it was done purposefully by Delilah, or the toons ended up blocking the memories due to trauma, no one knows.
What they do know is their friends are still alive. Well- they think so. Their replacements sure are.

Sure. They act the exact same and have the exact memories of the original, but something always goes wrong in Gardenview.
It's not until misconceptions and holes in their personalities and memories do the toons start to figure out something is wrong.

Izuku’s head snaps up, meeting his mentor’s eyes for a moment before the feeling of ice washes down his spine at the look he gave him.
It is not his fault he’s the target of some century old wrinkly supervillain due to the giant weight dropped on his shoulders by his mentor! He was tired. All he wanted was a break away from his responsibilities.
Izuku could only look at Yagi in a mix of terror and misery for one moment before his mentor looked away and he was being led out of the office and towards Heights Alliance.
He knows All Might isn’t the brightest and knows how his head clouds whenever there's a threat.
He should be happy. They're only trying to protect the students.
He knew they were just doing their jobs.
But why did it hurt so much?
