A very important missing scene from episode 5.01 immediately following Sister Julienne’s offer to have Delia lodge at Nonnatus house.
Knowing Patsy as we do, with her past trauma, her fears, her insecurities, and her deep abiding love for Delia, it didn’t seem as if the show did justice to what it would really do to Patsy, to have Delia choose to go back to Wales after so long apart.

Patsy cares for Delia through her recovery from the accident. Patsy is determined to do everything she can to bring her lover back to her and dedicates herself fully to nursing the younger woman back to health.
AU in which Delia’s family doesn’t want to care for her after the accident- Patsy and Sister Julienne work out a plan to bring her back to Nonnatus house to heal and recover, and Phyllis and Trixie are all-star allies showing up whenever and however the can to support their friends. Delia’s physical injuries are more extensive, and her memory comes back a bit quicker. Faster than a slow burn but not too fast 😉 Lots of hurt/comfort, angst, fluff and gentle smut. Eventual happy ending 😊

Summary
Two sets of friends who do not know one another are mistakenly double booked for a holiday flat by the beach. With it being a holiday weekend and everywhere else booked up, they all decide to just share the place. Unbeknownst to Delia and Patsy, their past selves were just waiting for the opportunity for their modern beings to be in the same room together. They are possessed in their sleep, and for the rest of the long weekend haunted by some rather pushy and noisy poltergeists.
