Screamed as his flesh was torn apart, heard Master of Puppets in the distance and held back tears. Felt Max’s cold, small hand in his as she laid in the hospital bed. There are things that always happen, no matter how hard he tries: El doesn’t arrive in time. Eddie dies. Max is put in a coma.
Steve fails. They lose.
“Steve, how many loops have you been through?”
His head is nodding, and his eyes are watery, and Eddie has approached him like a spooked animal.

As a self-described Playboy, Tony Stark knew there was always a possibility of there being a kid, somewhere, who carried the Stark gene. He didn’t realize that this possibility would be brought to the lobby of his work, held by a crazy woman who demanded his presence and quite literally shoved into his arms.
There were some logistical issues at hand. First and foremost, who the hell the woman was, because he didn’t remember. The second, was the kid, a little girl with dark hair and the most brilliant blue eyes, and the third was his long time girlfriend, Pepper. He expected some kind of reaction from her, but honestly? He should have known better.
Pepper was calm through the whole conversation, smiling softly at the little girl. When asked later, she simply said, “It’s not her fault that she was born into this.”
And that was how Tony Stark ended up with joint custody of his child, which later turned into full custody when her mother went too far into the drug world.

The video, long since confirmed authentic by authorities, portrays the fall of the red-and-black heroine’s transformation to reveal what appeared to be an injured Mlle. Dupain-Cheng leaning protectively over another injured man, presumably her black-clad partner. The anonymous source left the video with a single message stating that the heroine and her partner Chat Noir will be held hostage until further notice, the latter of whose identity was promised to be revealed by midnight tonight by way of another video. The police are currently working tirelessly to locate the Parisian superhero team. In this dire time of need, we dare to be hopeful of our beloved protector duo’s safe and timely return. This is an ongoing investigation."
