Summary
Wei Wuxian presents as an omega just over a month after they arrive for the Cloud Recesses lectures.
The thing is... no one expected him to actually be an omega, and his presentation is, in a word, messy. Feral omegas aren't natural, not as far as those in power are concerned, and they certainly aren't meant to cultivate alongside alphas and betas.
They definitely aren't supposed to form a fractured bond with an alpha like Lan Wangji, who does not handle the situation well in the moment, and is then forced to watch the aftermath. Meanwhile, Wei Wuxian struggles to come to terms with what it means to be an omega, and how it feels to be rejected by the only person your soul has ever cried out for.

Wei Ying went to the crowning ceremony mostly to support his old friend. He got to be emperor and that's a pretty great achievement. So he came to celebrate. What he didn't expect was-
"Wei Wuxian will be summoned to stand trial for his crimes tomorrow at dawn!"
Seconds after Lan Zhan becomes emperor he declares that Wei Ying is going to be put on trial?! Wei Ying accepts his fate, knowing running from here would be impossible with how many guards there are and cultivators. He hadn't finished that teleporting talisman yet, after all.
"You may choose your punishment." Choose? This prisoner has a choice? "The first punishment is death. The second... I do not think you will like."
"Lan Zhan- I mean- Your majesty. I highly doubt anything can be worse than death at this point in my life.”
"The second punishment is that Wei Ying becomes a war prize. You will join my harem.”
Oh. Yeah he can see how that's worse than death for him.

Summary
This is based on my Tumblr post where wwx agrees to sleep with Wen Chao in exchange for medical treatment for those that need it during the Indoctrination Camp. As well as my post where wwx agrees to go with Wen Chao in exchange for him leaving Lotus Pier alone. Which he doesn't. So an already pregnant wwx is married off to Wen Xu as “compensation” for the broken promise.
