“I just don’t get it. ” she spoke again after what felt like an eternity, carefully, the vulnerability in her urgent desolation unconcealed and sending a chill all over his spine.
”You miss him too, I know you do. So why are you so adamant on dropping everything and giving up just like that now that he's at our arms reach? Didn't you say you'd get him back no matter what it’d take?“
He did tell her that.
On the rainy autumn days when he insisted on accompanying her during her restless searches through the bustling streets and abandoned lots of Liberio. And on stormy winter nights when he’d have no choice but to physically hold her back from heedlessly marching off into the blizzard and held her against him instead as soft sobs racked her shoulders. Months had gone by and somewhere along, he lost count of the mornings, afternoons and midnights he took upon himself, spending his days on the lookout for any trace of their missing friend so she could get some rest at least.
All of which could‘ve been prevented had Eren simply not taken off without a word and left everyone in the dark.

“Do you mean used to the idea of me dating her daughter? Of us living in sin?” Deena raises an eyebrow. “The other day she told Sam she couldn’t wait until she got this out of her system so she could meet a nice boy and have lots of grandkids.”
Josh winces, shaking his head.

Mike's not stupid. Tammy is a methaphor. A placeholder name. Will's 'Tammy' is a boy, a boy who isn't like him, apparently. A boy whom he's pined over, aching and cried over, no matter what Will says about it being some 'crush.'
Mike knows Will like he knows the sky is blue, or that the sun is a bright yellow deadly laser. From the fidgeting of his hands, the silent resignation in his pretty hazel eyes that always seem to fill with tears, when Mike can do nothing to stop it. For some reason, Will is lying to himself. Or perhaps just to them, to soften the blow.
'Tammy' isn't a crush. Will is in love with a boy who can't return it, devastatingly so. Even as he smiled he'd looked heartbroken, accepting but ruined.
or, Mike has always wanted to give Will everything he wants.

In California, in June, Johnny Lawrence was already training for his first All Valley Under-18 Tournament. At the same time, the CDC published an article in its Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report titled Pneumocystis Pneumonia — Los Angeles. Five previously healthy young men were treated for pneumonia in five different LA hospitals. Two of them died.
Daniel LaRusso was still in Jersey, innocent of these facts and the way they would shape his future.
