Summary
Kakashi Hatake has survived wars, betrayals, and almost everyone he's ever loved. He's done his duty. He deserves a break, he decides. And then he decides, quite rightly, that he wants to retire. Or maybe take a long vacation.
His plan is simple: disappear, let the world move on without him for a while. Rest.
The problem is Team Seven.
Naruto clings on. Sasuke watches. Sakura understands too much.
Between impromptu training sessions, awkward silences, and moments that dangerously resemble a family, Kakashi learns that being a sensei was never just about teaching how to fight.
Raising Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura turns out to be the longest and most difficult mission of his life. And also the only one he doesn't want to (or can't) escape.
