“Luka,” Heperu says, “meet Luka.”
“Hi Luka,” the Luka looking at Luka says, with a small wave, and a smaller, sardonic smile. “I’ve been told I am going to die in seventy two hours.”
Well, that changes things. That Luka can be luka, he thinks, but I'm LUKA. LUKA doesn’t reply directly to luka, because any Luka that is about to die is not an important thing to pay attention to. Instead, LUKA looks to Heperu: “Which one of us is more original?”
“That,” Heperu smiles, “is for me to know, and you to wonder.”

Three brush strokes to the right. Two to the left. A hand smoothing over his forehead, sweeping his bangs aside.
Shadow Milk knows the pattern well. His hair is always brushed the same way, in movements that seem almost robotic in how perfectly they’ve mastered the repetition. The bristles of the brush always skim over his closed eyes with such care, nimbly avoiding anywhere they might prick or poke. It always ends with a few final touches, tucking any stray wisps back into place before the brush is set back down on the dresser before him.
Pure Vanilla’s hands smooth through Shadow Milk’s hair, coming to rest gently on his shoulders.
“There. Ready for the day?”
Shadow Milk does not answer.
Shadow Milk has not answered in a long, long time.

“Congratulations, Ivan, you get to play superstar Till's on-screen love interest. Unrequited on his side, of course.” Then—“I’ll take the recliner until the end of my contract, sucker."

“I missed you,” Luka admits easily.
Hyuna sighs, but she’s still smiling, so Luka continues walking towards her. He’s faster now that his goal is in sight, and it’s only a few moments before he’s able to lean his weight against her. Hyuna entertains his whims, wrapping one arm around him to help keep him upright. And Luka doesn’t really want to be standing up right now, but Hyuna is warm and he is cold and he doesn’t want to leave her side either. So he closes his eyes and rests his head on her shoulder and listens as she hums along to the music drifting through the kitchen.
This is nice, he thinks. He wishes being sick was always like this.

Hyuna doesn't realise she's frozen still until Luka reaches for her, cupping her cheek gently. He presses his thumb into her jaw until it unclenches, and then he tilts his head, smiling endearingly. It's horrific.
