Summary
In the clash between the Dreadwolf and Lusacan, both were slain. No one was strong enough to keep the Veil from falling apart. No one, except Rook's final nemesis, Elgar'nan. In a last effort to prevent an inevitable catastrophe, the remaining survivors of the Veilguard tie Elgar'nan to the Veil and send him back to Prison. All seems well, and they go on with their lives, mourning and honouring the fallen and rebuilding from the ashes. It is a bittersweet peace, but peace nonetheless.
Rook, though, cannot go on. Rook cannot heal and cannot escape the past. She cannot forgive and cannot have enough vengeance. There is no future for her, and the memory of those who have died because of her is keeping her tethered to the past, regrets, and wrath.
Elgar'nan is there to take advantage of that, while she takes advantage of having him weak and powerless. In a grim twist of irony, they only have each other and neither wants to let go. A snake eating itself, dark twin flames that would rather watch the world burn than let go.Or what grew from a simple prompt by https://archiveofourown.org/users/nananarc/profile

Summary
Nadia does not belong here, but she was not given a say in the matter. Plucked from her world and stuffed into a position not-quite made for her, she takes up the mantle of Raven: leader of the Veilguard, sole force in opposition of the blighted Evanuris, and unlikely ally of the Dread Wolf.
But she knows the story of the Veilguard, and she is no Rook. She does not think in straight lines. She thinks in metaphors and circles and bleeds understanding as though someone cut it from her veins with a dagger. She was sent here for a reason, she's certain, but with each positive change she attempts to make, Fate retaliates with a vengeance that sends her to her knees.
Thankfully, she does not kneel alone. She discovers an unexpected kinship with Solas, who knows intimately how difficult it is to lose everything one has ever known. As their bond deepens, so does the connection between Raven and this new world she's found herself in. She wants to save it. She wants to save him. But will he allow it? Will their love for one another be enough to convince him to turn away from his regrets and see this world with him in it? Will it even matter if Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain blight the whole of Thedas before the final bell tolls? -

Summary
Sometimes your Trevelyan is a respected son of the Bann of Ostwick ready to take on the challenge of sealing the Breach and saving the world. Sometimes your Treveylan is a half-Orlesian Half-Fereldan stableboy with a stutter, no political acumen whatsoever, and zero confidence in his ability to do anything right. Unfortunately for the Inquisition and for Gil, this story is about the latter.
(A very fast and loose retelling of Inquisition with my Inquisitor, Guillaume Archambeau-Trevelyan, who hates being Inquisitor almost as much as he hates his name)

Summary
Years before the Circle breaks, Madame Vivienne de Fer receives a letter from a little known and oft-overlooked Circle, detailing its curious new acquisition. She arranges a visit to assess an unusual Dalish apostate mage who recently staggered out of the forests and straight into the arms of the nearest Templar patrol, and finds quite a bit more darkness than she bargained for.
(My four-part "Emergency Elf Extraction" Reddit Prompt series detailing how Vivienne (potentially) met Harellan Fellavhen, preserved here for posterity and easy access. Foreknowledge of my other fic Long of Tooth and Ear is NOT required)

Bookmarker's Notes
I've been lucky enough to read ahead a bit, and this is an exquisitely dark little work. A highly immersive, haunting piece with layers of hope/hopelessness regarding the plight of Circle mages.
Everything I love about Vivienne is captured here. Having read Tooth, this also explores a piece of Harellan's past that I've been DYING to read, further revealing just how much she's survived through.
This might work as a really good prologue to Tooth, come to think of it :3 -

"You know who does have brains, though?” Marco continued. “The Yeerks. Maybe a thousand of them already. A thousand human brains, a thousand slaves, except those slaves can’t even THINK without their masters knowing about it. There is nothing standing in their way except us—did you get that? This isn’t some movie, where humanity’s going to rise up and pull some bullshit trick out of its ass. The Yeerks are WINNING. Did you not see Elfangor get eaten? Do you not understand the stakes? He was coming to destroy the planet because he thought that might be the only way to stop them."

Summary
The Arcane University. In times of peace a sedate microcosm of academic study, low-level inter-political squabbles, and harmless magical gossip-mongering. A concentration of standards, commitments, and obligations and the men, women, and mer who are expected to honor and uphold them.
Occasionally, an interesting event occurs. An accident. A discovery. A reclamation of some great artifact or a marked triumph over the next carefully-tracked evil long before it can coalesce into a threat on the land. But more often than not, as Tamrielic history churns and the Guild strives to shape and guide the continent for the good of all, the University itself remains a centered palace of learned peace and a pillar of stability on the periphery of the Imperial City.
Enter Divayth Fyr, professional destabilizer and arcane bowling ball to a placid campus full of unsuspecting pins.

Summary
Fen'Harel just wanted a nice, long nap. He didn't want to deal with the living, or wander a world with all these short-lived humans running around making war at each other and oppressing the descendants of his People. But now he's awake, now his orb has been stolen, and now he has to deal with two of these fleeting idiots in particular. The one that quite literally has him by the Wolf Ball, and the other who'd somehow marked himself as part of the Dread Wolf's territory and now wields the only power capable of ending this mess.
And neither one of them is particularly good at what they're trying to do.
(Multi-POV fic of the events of DAI, as told through the eyes of the entire classic cast + 1 OC who have to collectively work around a very dislikeable Inquisitor.)
(This fic is currently under reconstruction to fix the formatting issues that have been annoying readers for three years now [but it is still readable! I promise the words are all there]. Please excuse the mess, it's going to take me a while to fix the 100+ chapters of stubbornness I insisted on uploading first)

Summary
The Clockwork City is no place for the faint of heart. A brass fortress of ruthless efficiency in a cruel wasteland devoid of resources and ruled by a neglectful god, it consumes the weak and disposes of the superfluous without remorse or mercy. Caliya Derynval chose long ago to cast off the yoke of religious orthodoxy and live outside those great bronze walls, but when a powerful Dunmer gentleman arrives with a clockwork problem and claims that Sotha Sil sent him to her for consultation, it sets in motion a chain of events that will shatter her solitude forever.
If she doesn't annoy him into killing her, first.
This fic reimagines and explores the Halls of Fabrication trial in ESO, where Divayth himself had gone off to seek help from Sotha Sil after his basement explodes with mechanized death.
