Tears quickly bubbled to her eyes and slipped down her face before she could stop them, smearing the screen in front of her into an unintelligible mess and soaking into the fabric of Mira's shirt. She laughed again, but it came out as more of a sob this time, and she turned to stuff her face into the edge of the blanket with a sharp, hiccupped inhale.
