Summary
“How do I look?” she asks, like they’re still students, spending time together between classes and after school has ended. Is it too much, to think they could have been friends? Meetings at cafes, surrounded by the thick aroma of coffee and pastries, or walks home together, knuckles brushing, or a million other memories that will never come to fruition.
They have this, now, though. And that’s what matters.
“Pretty,” he says, as if it can even begin to cover it, “the prettiest thing in the world.”
The cigarette is still perched beneath the pink of her lips, but she removes it to blow a stream of smoke into his face. He thinks–just maybe–that she’s embarrassed, if her averted eyes are any indication. It doesn’t seem like Akamatsu, to get flustered so easily. The honesty seems to disarm her: though it doesn’t last long at all.
“Just pretty?” she challenges, “that’s disappointing, Saihara-kun.”

Summary
"A thousand paper cranes. It’s an old myth, folklore really, that everyone knows. If you fold a thousand origami cranes, if you let your fingers bleed and you follow through on the tedious and boring ritual of folding the same lines in paper over and over again, the gods will offer you what you desire most. They will offer you a single wish. It's a legend, so it’s not real or anything, though that doesn’t really mean much. Who’s to say what’s real or not? Does it really matter if it’s real?"
It's six months after the killing game, and Ouma's come a long way since then. In particular, he and a certain detective have grown closer.

Summary
He’d always thought, if in some general semblance of an afterlife, Lovino would be entirely lost. He’d have no idea what was happening, that was a guarantee, that he’d be angry and demanding answers. Yet Lovino couldn’t say, now that it was actually happening, that he felt anything really. Anger was as foreign an emotion to the calm that held itself within him right now, and he felt that--even if the situation itself was anything but--that the scene would be predictable.
It's the end of Lovino's life. And with it, there is an angel.

Summary
What was this searing, desperate pain that scorched through his insides, his mind? What was this overwhelming tirade of emotion? Why did it feel like his nonexistent heart had been shattered like glass, slammed against the ground and stomped on until it was beyond repair?
He wanted to do something. To scream, to slam his fist into the wall and punch and punch and let himself break.
“Iruma-san,” he whispered, and again and again he said it, to himself, as if just by repeating this name she’d appear, as if this note would summon her along his incantations. “Iruma-san, Iruma-san, Iruma-san…”
After the fourth trial, Kiibo visits Miu's room. He doesn't have an explanation, other than the fact that he needs something. He finds a note.

Summary
Shuichi Saihara had ended Danganronpa, had ended everything that had come with it. He'd been one of the only survivors, along with Maki and Himiko--a survival that had come at a great loss, a survival that had cost them everything. But it was a survival they planned on cherishing, coming to face with an outside world that didn't belong to them, and a promise to keep going.
Shuichi Saihara stepped outside the broken dome, into the light, with the weight of dead souls hanging on his shoulders, a burden, a promise that would never be lifted.
He woke up, moments later, with those he'd condemned still alive, and the lie of Danganronpa refusing to cease, even in its apparent end.

Summary
Vanitas is doubled over with the effort of staying present. Still, he manages to give Noé a look that is transparently exasperatedly fond. As if he isn’t the one who is being torn apart. “W - Why are you crying, you big baby?”
Noé wants to lash out, to cry, to hit something. His fingers tighten around the hilt of the blade Vanitas loves so dearly. “Because you won’t,” he whispers.

Summary
“I won’t be the one to kill you,” the weretiger says, breathless despite the pause. “Not again.” Akutagawa feels the hands on his collar tremble. “I’m not like you. I won’t be like you.”
And none of this—none of it hurts in the slightest. It does not consume him. There are no claws to tear him open, no pains blossoming on his jaw; it does not ache, and it does not burn.
This will ruin you, he thinks, this will ruin you from the inside out.

Summary
Over the centuries, Poland and Lithuania have been strangers, friends, partners, and enemies. Here are fifty snapshots of their relationship from the 1300s to the present day. [Historical!Hetalia. Not quite LietPol, but there's definitely talk of love and emotional intimacy, so probably best described as romantic friendship. Rated for mild violence.]
