Summary
In a new world without Salem and Grimm, humanity is forced to find new conflict in the form of their Faunus brothers and sisters. Technologically reduced to mere beasts and pets, they are swiftly enslaved by humanity for the sole purpose of exploitation and worse. Jaune Arc is just one human slowly adjusting to these new developments when a chance encounter reunites him with what had been a long-lost friend.
But being responsible for another life is no small temptation, more so when you legally own them. Alone and lonely, how long will he be able to resist enjoying his cuddly new kitten? And more importantly, how far will he have to go to train her?

Summary
Sometimes not everything we see is everything that is actually going on. Sometimes relationships form not in the foreground, but back where nobody can see but two people. Starting at the beginning of their time at Beacon, Weiss and Jaune continue to have encounters between them, between all of the moments of action and story happening around them. Chunks of time with no one around but the two of them to share them. They may not be friends, or even particularly close to begin, but little moments can eventually blossom into an understanding, a kinship, or perhaps something even closer.

You ever get the feeling that your life is a little too good? Like you were meant to be doing more?
Jaune's been getting that feeling a lot, lately. Life's just felt all kinds of weird since he moved away from home, now living in the bustling city of Vale with the world's two most kickass roommates. He's living the high life, and yet things just don't feel right.
He has no idea of the growing storm, not just within Vale, but over the entire continent of Remnant. An ancient evil is stirring, and warriors will have to rise up in defense of all that they hold dear. A storm is brewing, and Jaune will be caught in the middle of it whether he wishes it or not.
