Summary
Jungle Pocket had won the Japan Cup, an incredible achievement no matter how you cut it. But her mind was wandering elsewhere. Agnes Tachyon. She wanted to make their rivalry bloom into something else. A friendship, maybe something more.
On the other hand, Agnes Tachyon wanted Jungle Pocket--her most prized guinea pig to succeed in her place, but now that she has, it just feels too bittersweet. Her plan B had gone according to plan perfectly, and yet, it feels...incomplete.
When she saw her guinea pig on that track, all her efforts for the past seven months culminating into a beautiful victory, it felt like something was wrong. Deep down, something had shifted inside of her.
Nothing had ever stumped her like this before. She had an answer for everything in her realm of expertise. And yet, this question, this predicament--this problem. It was challenging, and she wants to grasp it.
And thus, a chemical reaction is bound to occur, sooner or later.
