In a shell-struck old observatory on a hill overlooking the ruined remains of two civilizations, Lucy MacLean goes with her gut and decides to throw her lot in with the only person around offering her a feasible path forward. The Ghoul pretends he isn’t relieved to hear her footsteps trailing his own. Across the breadth of the country and the spans of time, events would begin to transpire to allow for their shared endeavor to be a success. Also, they both develop big fat stinking crushes on each other, which is really inopportune.
