Summary
There’s no particular reason Stan opens his eyes early in the morning and lays awake. No nightmare. No sleep paralysis, no demons. No pressing need to use the bathroom. No loud noise. No pain, nothing hit him. Nothing. He just opens his eyes, and then the next thing he knows is that he’s awake. It’s completely unspectacular. Somehow, that makes it all the more frustrating.
Now what?

This fic made me cry. It's a great retelling of an ancient Greek myth, but with lots of nods to The Stick of Truth and it's own unique spins that really set it apart both from the original, and from other retellings of the same myth. It also has a very unique lingual style, which I found difficult to get into at first, but ended up loving. All in all, I cannot recommend it enough!

Bookmarker's Notes
This is a really thrilling read. The author puts a lot of attention into detail and the storytelling is great. The author understands both Stan and Kyle as characters really well; their dynamic is so well written and captures everything I love about them, in spite of how I don't usually ship them.

Summary
Senior year is off to a pretty fucked-up start when a student is found dead at Butters' 18th birthday party. While everyone is ready to write it off as a suicide, only Stan Marsh suspects something more could be afoot.

Bookmarker's Notes
All this story needs to get you into a chokehold is a good murder mystery, but you'll stay because whether it's the quest for truth, the Stendyle-polycule or the characterizations, it's just that good. If you don't believe me, have one look at the comment section and everyone's investment. This fic really holds a special place in my heart.
