    Born into a fishing family in district 8, you volunteer to take the place of the girl you love. Following your victory you quickly realize there is no winning the games, and that you must comply to protect those you love. You find tenuous friendship with fellow tributes, Enobaria, Johanna Mason and Finnick Odair as you adjust to the capitol and all its demands. When the Quarter Quell is called to fruition you, and the few friends you have left, plot to free the mockingjay and yourselves in the process, but freedom proves to be just as sinister as being caged. Especially while under the watchful eye of President Coin.
