“Undress,” he commanded. “Get rid of the clothes you thought you were good enough to wear in public.”
Her fingers trembled as she pulled the simple dress over her head. He snatched it from her and threw it into a dark corner.
“Burn it later,” he muttered. He grabbed her by the throat, not to choke her, but to hold her in place, his thumb pressing into her windpipe just enough to be a threat. He leaned in close, his voice a venomous whisper.
“You enjoyed it, didn’t you? The attention. That little moment where you forgot you’re nothing but my property. I saw it in your eyes. You’re a greedy, attention-starved little slut. But don’t worry. I’m going to remind you of your place. I’m going to fuck that vanity right out of you.”
He shoved her backward, and she stumbled, falling to her hands and knees on the gritty concrete. From a rusted locker, he pulled out the collar. It was thick, black leather, worn and sweat-stained. He threw it on the floor in front of her.
