Clover, after dying, was forced to live through their day in the underground on loop. Seeing every single death they faced at the hands of their friends for years on end. One day, however, Clover wakes back up. Alive. Now, having to deal with the fact that everyone they cared about killed them dozens of times, they will have to figure out how to move on in order to see their friends again and maybe finally be a part of a real family.

Clover stepped back, trembling. Was this it? or was it another ruse? Ceroba got back up twice before, who's to say she won't get up again?
Tears threatened to fall out of Clover's eyes as they continued to stare blankly at the monster in front of them. They were in so much pain. Their soul was barely holding itself together and every second they were fighting to not collapse onto the ground and give up.
They can't do this again.
"I swore-"
Clover whipped around and ran before Ceroba could get another word out.
Or: After one too many deaths, Clover flees upon knocking Ceroba down and shattering Kanako's mask. Contemplating their options and sick of dying, they run to the Steamworks.
