It's Halloween Weekend, 1955, and two girls from New Orleans, Hortense and Joan, are dressed up in their costumes and heading to Ponchartrain Beach Amusement Park to for a night of fun. Turns out up-and-coming performer Elvis Presley is going to be on the main stage tonight, and he is making quite a splash with the locals.
Warning: Some minor blood and gore.

It's 1954, and Freddie Stern, an assistant engineer in the control booth at radio station KWKH Shreveport runs into a young, 19-year old musician from Memphis named Elvis Presley backstage at her work during The Louisiana Hayride broadcast. They form a bond, and get to know each other as the Hayride becomes a launching pad for his first tours, singles sales and exposure to audiences listening at home across the country. Absolute fan fic based on Elvis' two year tenure at the Louisiana Hayride from October 1954 to December 1956, as he goes from that sweet dork planning to marry his girlfriend when she graduates high school to that swaggering superstar dating showgirls and movie stars as he breaks hearts across the country.... angst, smut and absurdity to ensue.

Miriam Cohen runs away from her Orthodox family in Memphis in 1960, and ends up living in Los Angeles, where her older brother is a member of the Memphis Mafia, working and living with Elvis Presley. Miriam begins an affair with Elvis as he struggles to get Hollywood to take him seriously, and she experiences the blossoming counterculture growing in California during the 1960s while navigating Elvis' controlling, jealous and unfair expectations. The main character is underage at the beginning of this story, don’t read if that bothers you. Its going to get dark and wrong, but also have some fluff and levity and deal with sexual awakening and agency, while overcoming the dark underbelly of show business and being in love with someone who is a charismatic, kind, but also a sick fucked up addict.

Summary
It is the summer of 1968 and Elvis finds himself in a New Hollywood, no more production code, just a ratings system with the promise of more sex and violence. This is good, because Elvis is in transition too! He is hot off the set of his TV special and ready to make a gritty western he can be proud of. Things are going well, he's making friends on location in Arizona, but then first they cut some of the violence, and now he's not so sure there is going to be any sex scenes in this movie. What's next, are they going to make him sing to his horse?
Inspired by the cut nude bath scene and the notes in Donna Lewis' diary that there were originally sex scenes scripted in Charro!

Can a shift in scenery and company help Elvis change the trajectory of his increasingly challenging life and career?
i.e. Elvis receives a great kindness from strangers, instead of what's usually the other way around. A fix-it fic of sorts.
