"Thirsty?" Larry asks, loosely indicating to Hank's glass with the decanter.
"Sure," Hank says, his voice gentle. With the permission granted, Larry pushes the door closed with his foot and fills Hank's glass. He puts the decanter on the table and tentatively moves to sit next to Hank on the bed.After Larry and Hank argue in front of their friends (and Alan), they finally have the chance to share a moment of solace in the privacy of Michael's room.

He puts a heavy hand down on my chest, not hard enough to constrict my breathing, but plenty so as to keep me down. “In a real fight, you’d be dead.”
His hand moves from my chest to my hand and he helps me up. I’m already panting, and yet, when I look at Damon, he seems at ease. “Wow, okay,” I breathe out, getting a very clear sense of the ship-wide gap between our skill levels. “Let’s go again?” I request, and when we share another nod, we continue.
A training fic in which this traveler has gotten a hold on training enough to convince Damon to actually give training them a try. Damon doesn't exactly hold back, leading to a learning moment.

Learning that your family has all been killed by your ex and that a third of the crew you find yourself apart of isn't exactly supportive can cause one to feel unsafe. Jax finds themself unable to sleep the night before landing on Cursa. Comfort isn't their goal of the evening, and so Calderon makes for good company.
A little preparation never hurt anyone either. -

The way the Wren’s boots crunched in the grass plays in my mind in a loop. When I try to roll onto my side and close my eyes, forcing that sound from my mind, the image of the barrel of their gun greets me.
Cal feels guilt over how the Orion mission went. And as he deals with his guilt over it, Traveler gets a front row seat, unbeknownst to Cal.
